Cross-Country Skiing & Biathlon in Seefeld
Seefeld and cross-country skiing - two concepts that match each other. Seefeld has been rated by the German organisation ADAC as the best cross-country ski area for years.
154 km of 'classic' trails and another 124 km of skating routes of all levels of difficulty is something unique in the Tyrol. The routes are kept in perfect shape by the professionals employed by the Seefeld Tourist Office. Artificial snowmaking also helps to guarantee optimal conditions in Spring and in sunny periods. Trails aimed at wheelchair-users, night trails and dog-friendly trails help to complete the palette on offer.
The main starting point is near the Olympia sports centre (ca. 10 – 15 minutes on foot through the pedestrian area from the hotel), as well as a public waxing area and a storage facility for cross-country ski equipment. The beginners' trail at the Lenerwiese is ca. 5 minutes on foot from the hotel. It is possible to get from this area via the Auland trail to the main area at the Olympia sports centre.
The free village shuttle bus runs around every 20 minutes to the Olympia sports centre (shuttle bus stop around 70 m from the hotel). With the reasonably-priced regional bus service it is also possible to reach the trails in Seefeld, Mösern, Leutasch, Scharnitz and Reith without needing a car. The regional bus stop is around 5 minutes on foot from the hotel.

Biathlon Area and Nordic Competence Centre
The Nordic competence centre consists of the two new ski jumps, the biathlon area and the additional roller ski trail for summer training. Many of the national teams train in Seefeld. Get a few tips as you watch the professionals at work...
The new biathlon area at the heart of the Nordic competence centre is located next to the ski jumps on the Gschwandtkopf and currently has 9 positions for small calibre arms. A further 5 air rifle positions are also located there. Biathlon – try it out from Euro 56,-- per person incl. weapon and course.
In order for the Olympiaregion to continue to offer a high level of trail quality they are introducing a small trail usage charge from winter 2011/2012. This comes to Euro 3,-- per day with a maximum charge of Euro 9,-- for anyone staying three days or more.
