Walking Programme in Seefeld

Explore SEEFELD - Discover Something New
Indulge in a hike around Seefeld: Ursula will tell you about the best walks, reveal the secret of the mystical stone circle on the Pfarrerbichl hill and give you lots of information on the area. For example about the famous Seekirchl church, the Seefelder Wildsee lake or about the origins of the Reither raised bog. Have you ever heard of ichthyol, the geological rarity that only exists in Karwendel? Or do you know the fantastic effects of mountain arnica, St. John's wort and other herbs?
GAISTAL Alpine Pasture Hike - Heavenly Beautiful
This hike into the Gaistal valley is one of the most beautiful ones on the Seefeld plateau. Alex will take us to Leutasch/Gaistal by bus. From there the path will lead us along the Salzbach stream and to the renowned alpine pastures Hämmermoorsalm, Gaistalalm or Rotmoosalm. Past the famous Ganghoferhaus, across blooming meadows and via the forest we make our way back to the starting point. Enjoy the wonderful scenery at the foot of mountain Hohe Munde and taste the delicious buttermilk and local cheese in one of the quaint alpine huts.
GLEIRSCHKLAMM Gorge- Tractor Adventure in the Karwendel
A very special experience! A tractor chugging gently through the picturesque Gleirschtal valley will take us to the entrance of the gorge. You will be spellbound by the breathtaking surroundings on our hike through the Gleirschklamm. Afterwards the tractor will take us to the Mösalm, where the landlady will serve us some truly delicious local treats. We offer this highlight in cooperation with the hiking guides from the Seefeld ski school. That's why there will be additional costs of € 25.00 excl. the bus ride. But it is definitely worth it! Please make sure you book this tour at the reception by 3pm on the previous day.
(from mid-June)
LAKE HIKE - Nature's Beauty Spot Möserer Lake - Cultural Centre Ropferstub'n
We will take the Regiobus to Mösern. After a short ascent we'll reach the Möserer lake.
Shady forest paths lead us towards the Lotten lake and to Buchen and its celebrated Ropferstub'n. Here you will enjoy a unique view over the Inn valley from the sun terrace. The quaint old inn has many Tyrolese delicacies on offer, and the lovingly looked after museum of local history is definitely also worth a visit. You can take the bus back to Seefeld from just above the Ropferstub'n inn. But if you're fit to keep going, the hike goes on through Buchen, via the Katzenlöcher and to the Kirchplatzl - always along the river Leutascher Ache.
From there the bus will take us back to Seefeld.
GEISTERKLAMM Gorge - Wild and Romantic from Leutasch to Mittenwald
We will take the Regiobus to the Geisterklamm, from where Alex will lead us through the gorge. Have no fear! The almost 2 km long panorama trail across the gorge is totally safe! We continue our hike up to the Lautersee lake (lunch stop) and from there through the Laintal valley to Mittenwald. This walk also offers various possibilities to be either shortened or extended via another lake - whatever you feel like doing on the day. From Mittenwald we can either take the bus or the train back to Seefeld.
Have fun with our hiking programme!
Hikes are free except on Wednesdays. Bus and train tickets need to be bought separately.
